Architecture and drawing lovers, make sure to visit the exhibition « Peupler les cieux » at the Musée du Louvre. From the conception to the decoration of ceilings, drawing has always played a central role and inspired many French artists and painters, from Simon Vouet to Charles le Brun’s students. The projects of Palais Mazarin, Palais du Louvre and even of the disappeared Tuileries palace are presented with explanations all through the exhibition. Until May 19th.
May the force be with you! This is the theme of « Star Wars Identity », an interactive exhibition dedicated to George Lucas’ Saga, presenting 200 costumes and original pieces, and giving us the opportunity to explore our personality through an original animated adventure. At the Cité du Cinéma, until June 30th.
The Palais Garnier proposes a combination of contemporary ballets, created by two pioneers of modern dance: « Mademoiselle Julie » by Birgit Cullberg and « Fall River Legend » by Agnès De Mille. Two pieces for a moment made tragic and poignant by the bodies in movement and the passion of their tortured characters. « Cullberg / De Mille », until March 30th.
The event of the year for the gastronomy lovers is the release of the famous Red Guide by Michelin. Its 2014 edition has just been published! This year again, many Parisian restaurants have been awarded with stars. Here is our short list:
Let’s start by mentioning our Chef Virginie Basselot, who has been awarded her first star thanks to her tasty, aerial and truly seasonal cuisine. She succeeded in this challenge with her brigade and accompanied by the great service of Nicolas and David, their maîtres d’hôtel and their staff. Congratulations!
Jin (1st) with the Chef Taku, for his fresh Japanese cuisine.
The Septime (11th), the Parisian neo-bistro, the trendiest of this moment, with the Chef Bertrand Grébaut.
Goust (2nd), an original address imagined by Enrico Bernardo, named world best sommelier, with the Chef José Manuel Miguel and his Spanish inspirations.
Last but not least, a second Michelin star has been awareded to Akrame (16th) and his Chef Akrame Banallal for his sublim and creative dishes.
