Paris is full of secret places! The Clefs d’Or Concierges of the Saint James Paris recommend a green and mysterious walk in the upscale 16th district.
The “Petite Ceinture” is an old railway that surrounded Paris at the beginning of the 20th century. It was used to carry passengers and goods. Abandoned in 1985, it now offers a quiet and peaceful place, given back to nature.
One part of this disused railway has become a 1.5-km-long bucolic walk. Located between Porte d’Auteuil and Porte de la Muette, this ecological corridor offers a lot of original landscapes and welcomes many animal species. A new must-see of the Parisian heritage, even if still unknown!
A real green line, unusual and full of history, at a few steps only from the Saint James Paris!

150 pieces are presented: manuscripts, letters, works and drawings to relate the carrier of this passionate and sensible multi-talented artist. Among the masterpieces of this retrospective, the famous manuscripts of “Beauty and the Beast” considered as a “Trésor National” and which decors inspired Bambi Sloan in her vision of different spaces at the Saint James Paris. Also on display are his correspondences with his closest friend Edith Piaf and with his great love, the actor Jean Marais.
Fifty years after his death, Jean Cocteau continues to inspire the artists of today.
